Almamy Amara Camara: Shaping Africa’s Inclusive Growth Between Vision and Action
By the International Affairs Desk – The New York Diplomat

In an era when Africa stands at the crossroads of transformation, a new generation of leaders is redefining the continent’s economic and diplomatic landscape. Among them, Almamy Amara Camara, President of the Forum for Inclusive Growth in Africa (FOCIA), has emerged as one of the most dynamic advocates for sustainable development and cross-border cooperation.
From Conakry to Tunis and Marrakech, Camara’s influence continues to expand — bridging nations, industries, and ideas in pursuit of a more inclusive African economy.
A Forum Redefining Pan-African Cooperation

The Forum for Inclusive Growth in Africa (FOCIA), whose second edition took place on October 29–30, 2025, in Conakry, brought together delegations from 17 countries, both African and international, within the framework of the Tunisia–Guinea Economic Mission.
Under Camara’s leadership, the forum has grown into a continental platform for dialogue and partnership, connecting investors, policymakers, and private sector leaders in the shared pursuit of inclusive and sustainable African growth.
“FOCIA is not merely an event,” Camara explains. “It is a bridge between nations — a platform where ideas meet opportunities.”
Leadership Recognized Across Borders
The year 2025 has been particularly defining for the Guinean leader.
In May, Camara was honored with the African Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Tunis, before being nominated at the American Global Awards in Marrakech in October, in the prestigious category of Top African Impact Leader of the Year.
These recognitions highlight his unwavering commitment to responsible growth, inclusive leadership, and sustainable innovation.
Strategic Alliances and Economic Diplomacy

Committed to transforming vision into action, Camara has signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with international corporations seeking to invest in Guinea.
These agreements aim to stimulate direct investment, generate employment, and strengthen the country’s industrial foundation.
He also maintains ongoing collaboration with the Kuwait Investment Fund, reinforcing Guinea’s positioning as an emerging hub for international capital in West Africa.
Through his diplomatic and economic initiatives, Camara has become a strategic bridge between global investors and African institutions.
A Vision Focused on Youth, Governance, and Empowerment
Camara’s leadership philosophy rests on three fundamental pillars:
-
Youth and women’s empowerment through training and entrepreneurship.
-
Good governance, promoted via the Guinean Institute of Directors (IGA), which he chairs.
-
Global economic integration, by opening Guinea to durable international partnerships.
“Africa’s progress will not be built on luck,” Camara asserts. “It will be built on competence, unity, and accountability.”
A Voice of Africa’s New Generation
Almamy Amara Camara stands among the young leaders reshaping Africa’s narrative on the world stage — blending leadership, diplomacy, and social engagement with an unwavering belief in the continent’s potential.
His journey embodies the emergence of an ambitious, self-reliant, and forward-thinking Africa — one that is ready to take its rightful place in the global arena.
